Language correctness and style appropriatness from the point of view of journalistic style in online newspaper (on iDnes material)

Bakalářská práce "Jazyková správnost a stylová vhodnost z hlediska funkčního stylu publicistického v elektronické variantě novin (na materiálu iDNES)" se zabývá srovnáním hlavních rysů elektronické a tištěné varianty deníku Mladá fronta DNES. První část práce je věnována obecné charakteristice elektronických a tištěných novin. Pozornost je soustředěna na rozdíly týkající se formátu a vzhledu, přístupnosti a přizpůsobivosti, bezprostřednosti, hypertextových odkazů a interaktivity. Dále je zde čtenáři nabídnuto dělení internetových periodik. V neposlední řadě tato část práce pojednává o jazyce internetové žurnalistiky a rovněž o vztahu textu a obrazu na internetu. Ve druhé části práce jsou tyto teoretické poznatky aplikovány na analýzu internetového zpravodajského portálu iDNES a tištěného deníku MF DNES. Analyzovaný vzorek, získaný řízeným výběrem s frekvencí dvě vydání týdně po dobu jednoho měsíce, poukazuje na hlavní rozdíly mezi internetovou a tištěnou verzí daného periodika.
An Author's Right in the Information Society and Across the Internal European Union Market

Copyright law is a special category of civil law which, with the upswing of the Internet, has become important for different types of stakeholders in the global information society. The 'participative web' operates with content generated by users. This user-generated content has often disputable origins in terms of copyright clearance. The Internet has opened the possibility for developing new forms of communication between anonymous or individual users who are not easily identifiable. Especially peer-to-peer file sharing and recently the information services offered and operated by the so-called 'cyberlockers' are the reason of questioning the role of copyright protection online which needs a beneficial solution. Copyright infringement in the era of information society is a complex phenomenon with a multiplicity of contributing factors like the importance of information data with big business potential, personal attitudes shown by internet users towards the value and scarcity of intellectual property, or legal responsibility of internet service providers (ISP) who paradoxically act from the safety of the so-called safe harbours as intermediaries of information exchange, representing a new element in the communication chain between rights holders and users. The Problematics of Phishing

Bachelor thesis focuses on still current and specific type of cybercrime called phishing. The goal of the thesis is to introduce an ordinary internet user to the phishing issue by describing the functionality of different techniques of attack and appropriate ways of prevention and defence against these types of cyber-attacks. The thesis is divided into three parts. Theoretical part deals with the introduction to the phishing issue and historical development of this fraudulent technology since the early 90s of the 20th century. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the functionality of different types of phishing techniques from the most famous to the less well-known. The end of the theoretical part describes the prevention and defence possibilities at user, software and organizational level. The second part of the work focuses on the analysis of phishing attacks. First the thesis analyses some of the recent attacks on Czech clients, in particular their structure, progress and the real purpose. The following parts show the preparation and process of one classic and one modern attack with examples of detection and possibilities of appropriate defence against these specific techniques. Final part of the thesis shows the results of the survey and phishing quiz, focused on ordinary internet users and their awareness of this issue.
